He was born in 1958.
In 1984 he graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology.
In the period from 1985 to 1990 he worked in the counter-intelligence unit of the Regional Office of the Interior in Radom.
In 1990 he was vetted for the State Protection Office [UOP]. His responsibilities included matters related to the counter-intelligence protection of the State. In the UOP and ABW he held a variety of managerial positions. From 1993 to 1998 he was the Deputy Head of the State Protection Office, and from November 2002 to January 2006 he held the position of the Director of the ABW Field Office in Radom. He has been awarded on numerous occasions.
Apart from serving in the UOP and ABW, in 1993 he was the security advisor to the Prime Minister, and from March 1999 to November 2002, the security adviser to the Marshal of the Mazovian Province. In the period from 2006 to 2007 he served as the advisor to the Sejm Committee for the Special Services.
On the 4th of December 2007 he was appointed to the position of the Deputy Head of the Internal Security Agency.
He is married and has two daughters.
