He was born in 1965.

Graduated from the Faculty of History at the Jagiellonian University with a master's degree in archeology. Completed post-graduate studies of banking at The Warsaw School of Economics. In the State Protection Office (UOP) since 1991. In the period from 1998 to 2005 he held various senior managerial positions in the UOP and ABW. His duties mainly included analytical and information reporting work related to economic crime and non-proliferation matters.

He has been awarded and decorated on numerous occasions.

In January 2007 he left the ABW. In November 2007 he applied to be readmitted into the service.

On the 4th of December 2007 he was appointed to the position of the Deputy Head of the Internal Security Agency.

He is married and has two sons.
